Question
During installation the following things were noticed:
- Files get written to desktop during the installation.
- Installation stops at about 25% and the progress bar dissappers.
After installation, the
main CDEGS program starts but Input Toolbox does not.Answer
The Installshield program has a problem installaing when certain software is up during the install. In this case a virus-checker and Outlook were both up. This made the installation process extremely slow and gave the impression that the install was not done correctly: Once they were turned off the installation resumed normal speed.
INSTALLATION ADVICE:
======================
Close all other software during the install phase and ESPECIALLY anti-virus programs and MS Outlook.
