The Excel spreadsheet introduced last year has been redesigned to minimize the use of merged columns. This facilitates copy-pasting data between Excel files. There is also a list of suggested spacings and a drop-down menu to choose between metric and imperial units. If the system of units in Excel is different from the one in SESResap, a pop-up menu asks the user whether they want to convert the values, import them ‘as is’, or cancel the operation. Multiple traverses can be entered in the same file by creating copies of the original worksheet. All valid sheets will generate a new traverse when importing the file in SESResap. PDF versions of the spreadsheet are available in both metric and imperial for printing.
A new method, known as Driven-Rod, has been introduced in SESResap to extract soil models from resistance measurements performed at different stages while burying a vertical electrode into the ground.
