New Permeability Database

The new Permeability database contains typical electrical permeabilities for various materials. This permeability data can be accessed by selecting Permeability from the Component Library Selection list in the Category Filter window.

New Curve-Fitted Permeability Database

The permeability of ferromagnetic materials is non-linear with respect to the applied magnetic field intensity H. Therefore, it is often available in the form of discrete datapoints. The new Curve-Fitted Permeability Database uses a physically consistent curve-fitting methodology to provide permeability of ferromagnetic materials at a given H along with the magnetization (B-H) data where B is the magnetic flux density. As shown below.

New Coatings Database

The new Coatings database contains specific pipeline coating resistances for different quality condition ratings. In the future, more coating data could be added for other items and types. This coating resistance data can be accessed by selecting Coatings from the Component Library Selection list in the Category Filter window.

Cement Composites/Concrete to Resistivity Database

Some typical Cement Composites/Concrete materials’ resistivity data have been added into the Resistivity database. This data can be accessed by selecting Resistivity from the Component Library Selection list in the Category Filter window.

Performance Optimization

The SESLibrary software has undergone significant performance enhancements, including the implementation of lazy loading for commands within each database, asynchronous loading of the CrossSection and HIFREQ modules, and an upgraded importation feature for Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications within CDEGS. These improvements reduce initial load times, allow non-blocking loading operations, and enable quicker re-access to databases by keeping them in memory, respectively. Collectively, these upgrades provide a more efficient, responsive, and seamless user experience for professionals navigating and managing the databases.
