CorrCAD
Several significant enhancements have been introduced across various computation modes and
result report modules. These updates improve corrosion modeling and computation, soil
characterization, cable representation, and result visualization.
-
Corrosion Rate Calculation: Corrosion rate is a critical factor in corrosion assessment,
as it determines the extent of material degradation over time and the lifespan of structures or
components. Corrosion rates can now be computed and reported for both Compute with
Polarization and Compute without Polarization modes, offering greater functionality in corrosion
assessments.
-
The Stern-Geary Linear Equation: the widely recommended
Stern-Geary Linear
Equation has been introduced to address cases where a data point falls outside the polarization
curve, circumventing the computation interruption if this option is checked.
-
Seawater Depth-dependent adjustments: the latest version accounts for corrosion
variation with seawater depth, improving the accuracy and realism of corrosion predictions in
marine environments.
Furthermore, the Multi-Region Parallel Soil Model has been implemented in CorrCAD MALZ
Mode, while the Vertical Soil Model is now available in CorrCAD HIFREQ Mode, expanding the
range of supported soil conditions. Cable models are now available in MALZ. Both MALZ and
HIFREQ modes now support connections that can be defined as either virtual or solid, offering
users greater modeling flexibility. Finally, the CorrCAD integrated Report & Plot module is fully
compatible with the capabilities that, previously, had only been available for Compute without
Polarization, along with new customization options for data visualization.
